South Florida's Ultimate Makeovers Launching Official Pro-Bono Makeover Application to Local Charities and the General Public
The launch of the Ultimate Makeovers application to local charities & the public will begin May 2, 2011. Candidates from Miami-Dade, Broward, & Palm Beach counties will be eligible to apply for a selection of pro-bono life-changing makeovers.
PLANTATION, FL, April 29, 2011 /Florida PR News/ -- The long awaited time has come for the Ultimate Makeovers application process to begin. Starting Monday, May 2nd, 2011, at 12 am (EST), until Friday, May 20th, 2011, at 11:59 pm (EST), local applicants who reside in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach counties can submit their information to be considered for one of several "Ultimate Makeovers" that will be performed this year.
The purpose of Ultimate Makeovers is to provide a range of makeover services and surgeries at no cost to carefully selected individuals in the community whose lives would be greatly impacted by the makeover, and who could not otherwise afford to pay for these services on their own.
The candidates who are selected will need to meet specific criteria. Although the candidates can come from a local charity or the general public, each person selected must be uninsured, or underinsured, must fall below the 200% Federal Poverty Level (based on income level and family size), and must prove to be a resident of the aforementioned counties. The candidates selected must also be in good physical health and sound mental condition to qualify for a makeover.
The makeover categories consist of Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery, Cosmetic/Reconstructive Dentistry, LASIK Eye Surgery, Periodontics, Orthodontics, Weight Loss/Health/Fitness, and more.
This Ultimate Makeovers team of practitioners are no strangers to community philanthropy, with everyone having vast involvement for years serving the community organizations with their specialties.
