City of St. Pete Beach Launches All-New Website With Interactive Features

The City of St. Pete Beach has unveiled a new, state-of-the-art website designed to improve interaction among residents, local businesses, and city government. Read on to learn more about the new website's features!

ST. PETE BEACH, FL, September 29, 2011 /Florida PR News/ -- The City of St. Pete Beach is pleased to announce the unveiling of an all-new, fully-redesigned website - www.stpetebeach.org - the official website of the City of St. Pete Beach.

The city's goal for the website is to better inform residents about what's going on in the community, including city events, current city projects, changes in city ordinances, election dates, and more, and to do so in a faster, more easily accessible way.

They contracted with Digital Eel, Inc., a St. Pete Beach web design and web marketing company that has served the community for over ten years.

"Our primary goal is to make the City of St. Pete Beach website more interactive as a whole. We understand that as technology grows, our residents want to find their information as quickly and seamlessly as possible," says City Manager, Mike Bonfield.

"Here our residents can easily navigate through each city department in a matter of seconds," Bonfield adds, noting that contact information for each department is displayed prominently, creating an open platform for dialogue among city officials and the people they serve.

Homeowners and businesses can learn about the various functions of each city department, including Finance and Budget, Board of Adjustment, Historic Preservation, and the Planning Board, while visitors can learn about city laws and recreation information.

Streaming archived videos from City Commission meetings are just a few clicks away, as are downloadable "Meeting Agendas" in PDF format.

To Bonfield, it's all about promoting an "open door policy."

"Here we can better communicate with the public, and they can, in turn, reach out to us," says Bonfield, who noted that the site's updated look helps improve the city's image.

"We want people to know that the City of St. Pete Beach is truly a great place to live and visit. This is just another step in our quest to foster a strong, prosperous community."

The City of St. Pete Beach, also known as "the Sunset Capital of Florida" is a barrier island community off the coast of Saint Petersburg. Go to the city website for upcoming city meeting agendas and for visitors' information.
