Pam Iorio Launches New Book at East Lake Community Library's Holiday Book Fair

This event's keynote speaker, former Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio, will speak about her new book, Straightforward, Ways to Live and Lead at 11:00 a.m.

    PALM HARBOR, FL, October 13, 2011 /Florida PR News/ -- Seventeen local authors will sign and sell a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles at the newly renovated East Lake Community Library, 4125 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event's keynote speaker, former Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio, will speak about her new book, Straightforward, Ways to Live and Lead at 11:00 a.m. In her book, Pam examines the qualities, traits, characteristics and competencies of the straightforward leader. Admission is free, but visitors are asked to donate non-perishable food items for the Palm Harbor Food Pantry (FEAST).

Gift baskets that include signed books, jewelry, wine, candles, gift certificates and more will be raffled off, and food and beverages from Papa John's Pizza will be available for sale.

The select group of local authors will showcase their books with titles for children, teens and adults of all ages, historical fiction, finance, self-help, mysteries, travel, biographies, art, Christian romance, fantasy and thrillers.

Featured authors include Ann Turner Cook (the Gerber Baby!), Micanopy in Shadow; Robert Bassford's Financial Success in a Box; Mary T. Dresser, The New Kingdom, and other titles; E. Rose Sabin, Shadow of a Demon and other titles; Terry Fortner, Yesteryear I Lived in Paradise; Andy Svenson, The Happy Hollisters Series; Diane Sawyer, The Montauk Mystery, and other titles; M.B. Weston, The Elysian Chronicles: A Prophecy Forgotten and other titles; Libby Svenson, Andromeda's Turn; J.M. Taylor, Gulf Winds and other titles; Angela T. Pisaturo, Treasures in Clay Vessels; Gloria Tesch, Maradonia and the Law of Blood and other titles; Christi Bassford, Couponing Made Simple; Lexi Bassford, Moonlight Ride; Mary Orme Ellis, Non-Local Flow: Good Chi, The Sea and Me, by Tanya Kimberly Orme, with original works of art from the late Ozona artist.

Raffle tickets will go on sale at the library on November 1. Raffle proceeds will benefit Friends of the Library for books, supplies and other needs. Tickets are $1 or 6/$5.
