TAMPA, FL, November 16, 2011 /Florida PR News/ -- The Tampa criminal defense attorneys of O'Brien & Rodriguez, P.A., accepted the responsibility of assisting the mother and father of fallen United States Marine Sergeant Daniel M. Angus with the horror of learning that their son's body was mishandled by the United States Air Force at the United States military's Port Mortuary in Dover, Delaware upon his solemn return from the war in Afghanistan in January of 2010. The death of Sergeant Angus alone was a tragedy but the way in which his body was rejoined less than a month later to the country for which he made the ultimate sacrifice was morally reprehensible. His mother and father's sole hope now is that everyone involved will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law and that this indignity never again occurs to any other service man or woman.
As one may imagine, Sergeant Angus's family is absolutely distraught and in no way capable of speaking to the media, or anyone else for that matter. I ask that anyone interested in this issue respect their privacy and leave them be. As the Defense Health Board and the Office of Special Counsel's investigations unfold and questions inevitably arise, please contact my law firm directly and in turn allow Sergeant Angus's mother and father once again time to grieve in peace - unfortunately now for the second time in as many years.
