Taylor Morrison Set To Unveil Three Stylish New Model Homes
The Taylor Morrison design team is putting the finishing touches on three brand-new model homes that are set to debut in three of the company's most sought-after communities in the Tampa Bay area.
SARASOTA, FL, November 10, 2011 /Florida PR News/ -- The Taylor Morrison design team is putting the finishing touches on three brand-new model homes that are set to debut in three of the company's most sought-after communities in the Tampa Bay area - Palma Sola Trace in northwest Bradenton, Old Mill Preserve in Palmetto, and downtown St. Petersburg's Sun Ketch Townhomes at Northeast. All feature Taylor Morrison's signature open living concept and have been styled with a fresh, modern aesthetic that reflects the latest design trends with a traditional style.
"We are using a clean, sophisticated design with an emphasis on sleek lines, natural light, and mixing bright colors with calming neutrals," said Cammie Longenecker, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison West Florida. "We are definitely creating a luxurious and inviting feel, while keeping things more simple and relaxed."
Tone-on-tone neutrals are a featured design trend, accented with cheerful pops of tangerine, spa blue and lavender. Look for light fixtures and hardware with elegant silhouettes, textured linens in light fabrics, and a minimalistic design scheme with fewer accessories to create less visual clutter.
"Our goal is to inspire buyers with our design choices and provide attainable designs that they can re-create the looks on their own. We are getting away from custom bedding and elaborate cornice boards and actually showing retail items that people can go out and purchase."
While carrying such overall design principles across their product line, Taylor Morrison does make certain styling adjustments to their model homes to suit the needs of the target demographic of specific communities. For example, Sun Ketch Townhomes draws inspiration from the urban vibe of downtown St. Petersburg to provide a metropolitan living experience with the traditional charm of front porches and gated front yards. The new Abaco model is styled in a contemporary manner with cool colors, modern artwork and trendy fabrics and finishes. The bonus room above the detached two-car garage is staged to showcase its potential as a home office or entertainment area, or it may serve as a private third bedroom. With 2,246 square feet of living space, this home features an open great room plan with a den and three and a half baths. Base price starts at $249,900.
"You have to have a clear understanding of who the buyer is when you design a model home," said Longenecker. "Will this be a family home? A secondary or seasonal home? The key is to create a space where buyers can envision themselves living. There is a delicate balance between showing them all possible design features and options to inspire their imagination and showcasing those elements that are included in the standard home design. Today's buyers want to see features that add value to their home as well as beauty."
As one of Taylor Morrison's newest neighborhoods, Old Mill Preserve in Palmetto is also the site of a new model home. Located within easy walking distance of two schools, this is a gated neighborhood that is geared toward young families with an on-site tot lot and a tranquil, nature-centered environment. The new Kensington model is outfitted with durable laminate wood floors and kid-friendly furnishings. Decorated in a fresh green-and-black color scheme, the home features an efficient floor plan with 1,439 square feet including a great room, lots of windows, spacious closets and a covered lanai. A private den can be converted into a third bedroom as needed. The base price here starts at $137,900.
Taylor Morrison is also showing new models for the condo market in northwest Bradenton's Palma Sola Trace. The grand opening celebration will include light refreshments, tours of showcase homes, and a limited-time offering of a free stackable washer and dryer unit. Buyers who commit during the grand opening weekend will receive a $6000 credit towards closing costs. (See below for dates and times.)
The Berkeley and Carlisle models at Palma Sola Trace are coach home designs, each styled in a coastal motif with light blues and warm browns inspired by nearby Anna Maria Island. As one of the company's flagship communities, Palma Sola Trace is popular with buyers looking for a seasonal or vacation property.
"There is a very limited condo market in northwest Bradenton," said Steve Kempton, president of Taylor Morrison West Florida. "We listen closely to what our customers tell us, and they have been asking for this type of housing option in this area. We responded to that need, and we have been very encouraged by the response."
The Berkeley model offers two-bedrooms and two baths over 1,286 square feet with a base price of $138,900, while the slightly larger Carlisle has its garage and living area on the ground floor with three bedrooms on the upper level. Prices start at $151,900. Both models include thoughtful amenities such as roomy walk-in closets, screened lanais and well-planned kitchens. Palma Sola Trace is a maintenance-free community with clubhouse, fitness center, playground, lagoon-style pool and full activities calendar. It is located just minutes from Seabreeze Elementary School, Blake Hospital and the world-famous IMG Academies.
