Bonita Springs Remodeling Contractor Considers 2011 Italian Fest a Success
Bonita Springs remodeling contractor and owner of Progressive Builders, Mike Spreckelmeier, deems the recent Italian fest in Fort Myers a huge success.
FORT MYERS, FL, December 14, 2011 /Florida PR News/ -- Mike Spreckelmeier, a Bonita Springs remodeling contractor and owner of Progressive Builders,proudly announces the 3rd Annual Italian Fest in Fort Myers, hosted by the Fort Myers Rotary Club, was a great success. The event was held on October 2nd at the Alliance of the Arts, and had the highest attendance to date.
"The Fort Myers Rotary Club did an excellent job with this years Italian Fest - we had record number of attendees," said Mike Spreckelmeier, Fort Myers Rotary Club member and Owner of Progressive Builders. "Proceeds this year went to Child Care of Southwest Florida and Heights Foundation. The beneficiaries change annually. If you would like to get involved in this fun filled family event, it's important to start planning now. There are several sponsorship opportunities available for businesses."
Spreckelmeier is a member of the Fort Myers Rotary Club, and served as head of the logistics committee for this year's event. His duties included organization and oversight of various aspects of the event, such as tents, drink vendors, outdoor television, electrical supplies, potable water, temporary fencing, bocce ball courts, and portable restrooms. In addition, he was responsible for ensuring the EMS was available for any emergencies.
"I enjoy the opportunity to give back to the community through participation in events such as this," said Mike Spreckelmeier. "Although the Italian Fest is only a local event, it still requires some intensive front-end planning, and a decent amount of time, financial commitment, and volunteer dedication to pull it all together."
The entire setup of the event took approximately three days, and required an additional day following the event to break everything down. As an appreciation for the volunteers and committee members, there was a hospitality tent with televisions showing the game and "visions" of Italy. It also featured live music by the band "Alter Ego".
